Praising God In Difficult Times

praising god in difficult times

Before reading this post, I highly encourage you to let the Holy Spirit guide your mind and thoughts. He might reveal something that you need to know, so I encourage you to do so now before reading. Bless you!

Jesus Christ told us in the Bible, according to John 16:33, that we will have troubles, events that might catch us off guard, test our faith, and the likes. But Jesus Christ also said that He overcame the world. The evil has no hold on Him; therefore, the evil one has no hold on us as well, since we are in Christ.

Praising God In Difficult Times

Sisters and brothers in Christ, if you are going through something that is getting you down, something you may be struggling with, or any of that sort, know that God is still God over all. The God that created the heavens and earth, by His words through faith, is also the God who knows your circumstances and comforts you as well, through the Holy Spirit.

Though we live in the world, let us remember that we are not of this world. This is not our current home, but a temporary home, awaiting us for the next.

Since we live in this world, let us not be like the world and see circumstances with our eyes, but see what God sees. Let us live by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Let us look up above in the heavenly places and not below (Colossians 3:2). It’s a fight all of us Christians have to go through, but with trials comes perseverance, which builds up a character to be like Christ. Trust in the LORD GOD.

When trouble comes, give praise to God

So if you are going through troubles, I urge all of us to praise and sing to God. Let us have our minds set on Him and trust that He is in control. We need to stand in faith. Nothing is forever, especially in this life. It is only temporary.

Putting some praise and worship music in the background helps much as you focus on God and even the lyrics spoken in the songs.

I read a verse today beginning in Mark 11:12-14 where Jesus Christ spoke to the fig tree that did not bear fruit. Then, if we skip verses 20-26, we learn to speak forth things into existence by faith, binding and loosing things the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.

What I mean is that yes, there are troubles, but you won’t stand it. I don’t want you to stand for this. Speak forth what you bind, such as fear, worry, and break those chains. Loose things on earth, in your life, such as peace, love, joy that only comes from God.

Remember, the enemy wants you to stick to fear and worry, which leads you far away from God. Bind those schemes and cast into the abyss in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Fight your battles with your praises!

Did you know that when you speak praises unto God, you are loosing the good and noble things of heaven on earth? Because you start to focus on the things of God and God himself, you are saying that God’s will be done (Matthew 6:10 TPT). You are saying that God is still in control and He deserves all the glory; you say that His promises for you are coming to your life very soon. And that bears fruit, that continually enables you to remain in Jesus Christ, the author, and finisher of your faith. You can’t stand strong on your own, but by faith, God will supply you with strength and more than what you need.

Your praise bears fruit because it is an act of your faith and good works. To be honest, it did not make sense to me. Still, I believe the Holy Spirit led me to multiple biblical scriptures that revolve around singing and sending praises to God.

That is how we fight our battles and our trials (Isaiah 61:3).

It is not easy. Trust me, I have been there a couple of times. However, I refuse to give up. I am not a child of God who should be giving up when times are hard. But I am human.

Consider Paul; he has gone through trials as well to spread the Gospel. And along that line, He has learned that He can do all things through Christ, who strengthens him, and he also learned to be content in all circumstances because he did not rely on what he sees. He trusts in the God who supplies his every need (Philippians 4:13; Philippians 4:11; Philippians 4:19).

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3 NIV

Ask the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 11:2)

Furthermore, we have the Holy Spirit to counsel and show us how to grow closer to the Maker and Creator of our innermost being. He lives in us; therefore, we should rely on Him to overcome our day-by-day life.

So in your season, speak praises to God, thirst for Him, and eat His Words, even speak the bible verses that sing praises to God (Psalms 145). Meditate on them and consider how God is bigger than what you’re going through. Consider how Jesus Christ trusted God in all things as He lived on earth, prayed for us to continuously abide in God (John 17:11).

God’s love is so immense that it is constant and never changes. Pause on that. Praise and Worship Him for that.

Don’t forget the God who made you and known you before the world will continue His good purpose in you.

I hope this post blessed you.

Until Next Time.
