greater is he that is in you
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 NIV
Do you fully know that Christ lives in you? I mean, do you really believe it? When you welcome and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and savior, He then comes to live inside of you (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 1:27), and you now have become the children of God because He gave you that right to be so (John 1:12).
Therefore, know that He, Jesus Christ, is currently working in you, the very same Jesus whom God raised from the dead (Ephesians 1:17-23), who Abba Father, our Father as well, is presently making all things work together for your good, according to the purpose He has called you to do (Romans 8:30).
Also, the Holy Spirit of God is our seal for the day of redemption, leading us in all truth (John 16:13) while comforting us and being our intercessor (Romans 8:27).
Don’t you think that’s great news? Knowing that we have the God, who we cannot fathom, nonetheless who deserves all the glory, living inside of us, renewing our mind, and transforming us as He orders our steps?
Not by our might but by the Holy Spirit of God
When you consider this, the title of the post I mean, what does it mean to you? Shouldn’t that mean that in whatever work you do, it is not by your might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God, who lives in you, who will guide you in all truth when you walk by faith and trust in His guidance? Therefore, do you believe that the Holy Spirit of God is currently guiding your steps?
Do you know that He is Holy Spirit of wisdom, knowledge, counsel, might understand, and fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2)?
Do you believe that the One, the greater One who lives in you, is currently doing mighty works in your life?
Remember, greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world. Greater is the LORD God who knows the end from the beginning. Therefore, you, whom you were predestined, you are also called, and whom you are also called, you are justified, and whom you are justified, is also glorified (Romans 8:30).
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7 NIV
Jesus Christ, the author, and perfector of your faith is currently perfecting you as I write this
Greater is He that is in you, who knows you from the inside out. Also, who thinks about you all the time (Psalm 139:17). He knows what you need, and He fills you. Even when your faith may be small, like a mustard seed, what you use, He will also give more (Matthew 25:29). As you act on your faith and allowing Jesus Christ to work in you, you also give Him the will to reform you through and through.
We have the choice of life and death (Deuteronomy 30:15), so let us choose life, which is abiding in Jesus Christ, and He will continuously abide in us.
He is the LORD of salvation, light, and peace
Greater is He that is in you who gives you rest. Who, also, is your light and salvation (psalm 27:1). Because He is greater, He blesses us, He keeps us, He smiles on us, He shines His light upon us, He is graceful towards us, He turns our face towards us, and He gives us peace that surpasses all understanding and guards our mind and heart in Him (Numbers 6:24-26; Phillipians 4:7).
“Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.” Hebrews 4:3 NIV
God’s power is at work within you
To truly understand and know that we abide in the God that is greater than he that is in the world is to know God’s unlimited power. The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead led Him to sit at the right hand of Abba Father, who Abba Father placed everything under His feet (Ephesians 1:19-22).
Remember that we cannot put God in a bubble, nor can we fathom Him with our minds. He is our creator, and we are the creation. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Therefore, what makes you think that He is not able to currently work in you? The same God who placed all things in subjection under Christ’s feet, and might I add, the Christ who lives in you, who is also over all things?
Therefore, greater is the God of all gods, the LORD of all lords, the King of all kings who live in us, and continues to work in us, than he who lives in this world.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 NIV
Therefore we have conquered the world because we have God on our side (John 16:33). We are fighting from victory, not for it. So, if God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31; Psalm 118:6)?
Therefore you have the Trinity working and living inside you; isn’t that great news?
Hope this post blessed you.
Until next time.
