faith-building biblical scriptures
Do you need to be uplifted, encouraged, and even direct your thoughts towards other things other than your daily issues? Sometimes, it can even be challenging to escape what we’re going through, especially when experiencing it.
We all go through situations that can be hard to go through, and I cannot even imagine the thought of it. I am not in the position to tell you how to feel or think. And sometimes, it is okay to feel the way you think. It is helpful to be aware of the situation. Still, it is useful to also know what to do during the situation.
Therefore, this post will provide a list of faith-building biblical scriptures to maintain or even increase your faith during these times. Trust me, it is difficult even thinking positively. But this is not what this post is about.
Though the reality is that things are currently happening in our lives, we have to keep fighting. We have to keep believing in God’s promises. We have to keep walking forward. We have to survive. And for us to do this is based on God’s word.
Your situation may be huge, but God is bigger
There is always a way out. And sometimes, it is not based on our understanding, but His knowledge helps us through the struggle, our case.
So without further due, here are some faith-building biblical scriptures to help you fight your situation and see them as opportunities to learn, grow, improve, and overcome.
I wrote this post to encourage your faith in Christ. I am in no way a pastor or a leader in the church. If you need more spiritual assistance, consult your pastor or a close friend who’s knowledgeable of the Word of God.
Faith-building scriptures for Faith – Hebrews 11:1 NIV
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 NIV via bible gateway.
I wanted to begin with this scripture because it is the foundation of this post. When we have faith, it is the substance of things hoped for, such as things we hope to come true. Then, the evidence of things not seen, which are things beyond the visible eyes can see.
So when you begin with this verse, you’re preparing your mindset, your thoughts, and your words for the things you hope for, though they have been visibly seen yet. Nevertheless, you are waiting for these things because you believe that they will happen.
Ponder on this!
Faith-building biblical scriptures for provision – Phillipans 4:19 NIV
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 NIV via bible gateway.
One thing that you always have to be grateful for is that He meets all your needs. Now food is a necessity. Water is a necessity. However, I am talking about the spiritual need—the fruit of the Spirit that provides love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You need all of these to conquer the day. For every day, there are bad days. We want to grumble and complain about the things that are going on in our lives. Trust me, I am also on that end.
But where does that end? It may be helpful to talk about what we’re going through, wanting a shoulder to lean on, but what can we do to see this through? The fruit of the Spirit and the guidance of the Spirit can help us through this.
Scriptures for your thoughts: 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV via bible gateway.
As a believer in Christ, you always have to know that though our situations can be seen physically, the fight to overcome our problem is spiritual. For we do not fight against the physical realm but rather the principalities of power. Those powers that desire to steal, kill, and destroy our life [John 10:10 NIV]
If your thoughts are telling you that this situation will never change, it’s a lie. If your thoughts tell you to give up on something when you know you should not, that thought is a lie as well. Whatever thoughts are bringing you down, combat them with the Word of God in your thoughts and make them obedient to the word of God.
We have the Armor and the Word of God to help us fight through this. We are more than conquerors when we use the word of God, which is alive, active, and a double-edged sword [Hebrews 4:12 NIV].
Faith-building biblical scriptures for courage: Joshua 1:9 NIV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV via bible gateway.
Lastly, take heart, for He is still with you. Be courageous, for He is on your side. He’s fighting for you. The least you can do is be faithful that He will you through this. Even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, you can still move this mountain with His Word and your courage.
And the thing about faith-building is that we don’t have to be strong all the time. When we are weak, then we are strong, not from us, but from Him, who gives us strength. Receive His strength today and let Him build your faith through His Words.
May His words uplift and help you in your journey.
Until Next Time, thrive with purpose.
